Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale conferred the Officer of the Order of the British Empire
Manoj Badale, who is also the Chairman for British Asian Trust has been conferred the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his major contribution towards making a difference to the community.

Rajasthan Royals, the franchise of the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), is delighted to communicate with great pride that its Lead Owner, Manoj Badale was conferred the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), for his outstanding services to the economy and to charity, on Saturday 9th June 2018.
Manoj Badale, who is also the Chairman for British Asian Trust has been conferred the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his major contribution towards making a difference to the community. British Asian Trust (BAT), a charity organisation that was founded in 2007 by a group of British Asian business leaders at the suggestion of The Prince of Wales, works towards transforming lives of people by investing in charities across education, health and livelihoods. Manoj has been recognised among 33 Non Resident Indians on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. The Queen Elizabeth II’s Birthday Honours List annually apprises the achievements of people from across the United Kingdom who are committed to serving and helping Britain.
Speaking of the honour received by Mr. Badale, Ranjit Barthakur, Executive Chairman for Rajasthan Royals expressed , “Manoj has been very supportive of greater diversity in all areas of businesses.With his numerous accomplishments as a successful entrepreneur and his leadership of the British Asian Trust, as well as other philanthropic work, receiving this honour is especially exciting as Manoj has always been supportive of social impact ideas and has encouraged innovation in areas that can touch millions of lives around us.”
“This is a proud moment for us as Manoj has been instrumental in providing a strategic steer to all of us to focus on social impact campaigns. Manoj has been proudly associated with one of the largest ever social impact campaign launched during IPL-‘Cancer Out’. A campaign that was launched by Rajasthan Royals in association with Tata Trusts and Government of Rajasthan to create awareness among people for early detection of cancer,” added Barthakur.
BAT supports 11 local charity partners in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the UK. Since its establishment in 2007, the Trust has served 350,000 disadvantaged people across India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the UK.
Born in Dhule, Maharashtra, India, Manoj grew up in the UK. He is the co-founder of over 15 businesses, largely technology-related, since 1998. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blenheim Chalcot. Involved in extensive charitable activities, Manoj is chairman of the British Asian Trust and was formerly the chairman of Operation Smile UK . He was also a founding trustee of the Charity Technology Trust.
