Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise team Rajshahi Kings, bagged the services of in-form Zimbabwean, Malcolm Waller, after his impressive performances against Sri Lanka. The all-rounder has played a key role in Zimbabwe’s recent success in the island nation. Waller is all set to don the black and golden of the Rajshahi Kings later this year in November.

The other prominent names in their squad are Darren Sammy and Kesrick Williams from West Indies, Mohammad Sami and Umar Akmal from Pakistan, Samit Patel from England, James Franklin from New Zealand, Milinda Siriwardana and Upul Tharanga from Sri Lanka. Two of the biggest young stars of Bangladesh Cricket by the names of Mehedi Hasan and Sabbir Rehman also feature in their lineup.

This is not the first time the Zimbabwean has been part of BPL lineup. Waller was a part of the Dhaka Dynamites in the 2105 edition of the league. Previously, Rajshahi retained captain Sammy, Samit Patel and James Franklin. West Indian batsman Lendl Simmons was another new signing for the last year’s runners-up.

After a brilliant performance in the recently concluded ODI series, Malcolm Waller continued to chip in vital contributions down the order and picking up key wickets in the ongoing Test match at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. In the first innings, he stitched a vital partnership with Craig Ervine to post a dominating total in front of the home side. He then took his team to a winning position with his 68 in the second innings, giving able support to the Sikandar Raza at the other end.
