India lost to New Zealand in the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019 and crashed out of the tournament. The fans and experts were all baffled by the decisions and strategies put to use by the Indian captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri during the course of the tournament and even in the semi-final. India only lost two matches in the tournament out of 10, one to England in the league stage and other the semi-final.

There are also rumours that players in the Indian camp are not being happy with the autocratic leadership of Virat Kohli and Shastri. A news daily Dainik Jagran reported that the players complained about clear partiality towards players who were in good books of the captain and even named a few like KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah who received favours from the skipper. Now a Bollywood celebrity has come forward with sensational accusation on Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma.

Rakhi Sawant takes potshots at Virat and Rohit

Indian actress Rakhi Sawant has accused captain Kohli and his deputy Rohit of treating the tournament as a personal honeymoon for themselves. She further accused them of taking their wives and girlfriends to England to have personal honeymoons. Sawant also said that Kohli and Rohit were distracted by their wives Anushka Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh during the semi-final, hence they got out cheaply.

Here is the video of Rakhi Sawant ranting about Kohli and Rohit:

Indian team crumbled under pressure and some excellent bowling from the Kiwis in the semis. The New Zealand team put up a target of 240 runs after half-centuries from Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson. But then Matt Henry and Trent Boult removed Rohit, Kohli, and Rahul for 1 run each and India could never recover from the score of 5/3. Though Ravindra Jadeja (77) and MS Dhoni (50) tried a brilliant counter-attack at the end, India still fell short by 18 runs.

There were questions raised about the plans made by Indian team management, as to why Mohammed Shami was not chosen in the crunch match, why MS Dhoni was held back till no.7 and many other selection issues, which will be answered when Kohli and coach Shastri meet up with Supreme Court-appointed CoA and chief selector MSK Prasad on return for England.
