9. Imran Tahir
Imran Tahir now has more than 400 T20 wickets and all of that has come with his sheer hard work over the years. He is a leg-spinner, who is a dream for any captain in white-ball cricket. He has all the variations one would want, he has all the experience one would need and he is a brilliant team man who just finds his way to fit in.
Tahir was introduced to the IPL by Delhi. He was bought by them at the IPL 2014 auction. In his very first season, he picked up nine wickets from six matches at a strike rate of 13.88. In 2015, as he was touching the heights in international cricket, he managed to pick 15 wickets in 10 games for Delhi at a strike rate of 14.20.
He managed to play only four matches in 2016 and was released ahead of the 2017 season. Instantly, he found success at the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant where he picked up 18 wickets in 12 matches. He has since gone on to win the purple cap as well, which he did in the 2019 season for CSK.
