<p>Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav has taken the world of T20 cricket by storm, quite lieterally. Be it the international arena, or the league-cricket arena, Suryakumar Yadav has emerged as one of the most destructive batters in T20Is.</p>
<p>He was at the helm in the year 2022 and finished as India's highest run-scorer in T20Is, notching up 1164 runs. In just a couple of years, Suryakumar has become India's mainstay, and the Indian T20I circuit looks incomplete without the star batter.</p>
<p>At the starting stages of his career, he has become the most dependable batter in the Indian team, and will surely go on to become on of the finest cricketers of India. In 48 T20I matches, the the 32-year-old has 1675 runs to his name, including three centuries and 13 half-centuries.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">T20I is by far the most entertaining format among the three formats we have. It promises to keep the audiences cheering for their favourite team or player irrespective of the situation. This is due to the number of fours and sixes hit by hard-hitting batsmen.</span></p>
<p>Of late, we have seen relatively bigger scores in the shortest format of the game. Gone are those days where teams adopted a conservative approach and save wickets. Every international team now has at least one destructive batsman if not more.</p>

<h2>Current most destructive batsmen in the T20I circuit</h2>
<h3>10) Tim David</h3>

<p>The Singapore-born cricketer finally made it big when he joined the Australian national side. The former Singapore cricketer made a name for himself and left an impact on the Australian selectors as soon as he got into the side.</p>
<p>In 23 innings of the 25 T20Is that he has played so far, David has notched up 740 runs at an average of 37.00 and a strike rate of 159.48. Though he does not have a century to his name, the 27-year-old has amassed five half-centuries.</p>
<p>He has been even more destructive in the T20s, having notched up 3460 runs in 150 innings of 160 matches. Interestingly, in both T20Is and T20s, Tim David's highest score is an unbeaten 92. He has played 14 matches for Singapore where his average was 46.50 in T20Is.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jonny Bairstow is the perfect example of “Brute Strength”. The hard hitter from Yorkshire has a reputation of being explosive. He is one of the few players who can hit both, the pacers as well as the spinners.</p>
<p>The English wicketkeeper has scored 1337 T20I runs in 60 T20I innings. He has an average and strike rate of 27.85 and 136.42 respectively in the shortest format of the game. He has also hit 57 sixes in this format.</p>
<p>An important point to be noted is that he doesn’t have a fixed batting position and fluctuates according to the situation. Sometimes you see him as an opener and sometimes you would see him batting at 4. <p>A very underappreciated batter in terms of power hitting, New Zealand's Glenn Phillips is a big and emerging name in the world of cricket. He showcased his prowess during New Zealand's campaign at the T20 World Cup 2022 and was at the helm, taking his side to multiple victories.</p>
<p>A middle-order batter, the 26-year-old has managed to notch up 1385 runs in 52 innings of 59 matches at a decent average of&nbsp; 31.47 and a strike rate of 144.72. He notched up his maiden T20I hundred in 2020 during a game against West Indies, and pulled off another stunning century during the T20WC 2022 against Sri Lanka.</p>
<p>Given his antics in the shortest format of the game, the power-hitter will be one to lookout for in the upcoming years. He has proved his worth in the side and has emerged as a dependable batter, thereby becoming a mainstay in the team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His record has been better since 2018. Post-2018, the Jamaican powerhouse has scored 276 runs in 18 innings. His average and strike rate are 23.00 and 189.04 respectively.</p>

<p>Despite playing most of his games as a lower-middle-order batsman, The Proteas six hitter has ensured that he still wins matches for his team. What if we were to tell you that he has scored the fastest T20I hundred ever? (Tied with Rohit Sharma) he took just 35 balls to score a 100 against <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/bcb-ropes-rangana-herath-and-ashwell-prince-in-bangladeshs-coaching-setup/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bangladesh</strong></a> and thus, set his own standards.</p>
<p>Miller has scored 2195 T20I runs in 97 T20I innings. He has an average and strike rate of 34.84 and 145.26 respectively in the shortest format of the game. He has also hit a whopping 106 sixes in his T20I career so far.</p>

<p>Jason Roy might not have a reputation like someone like Jos Buttler but he surely knows how to hit the ball a long way. Very seldom would you find a batsman who can play his shots irrespective of the pitch conditions and match situation. The Surrey batsman has scored 1522 runs in 64 T20I games.</p>

<p>The Hitman has scored the most number of centuries in the shortest format of the game. <p>Popularly known as “Jos the Boss”, Buttler is one of the most aggressive T20I batsmen going around. He is one of the most explosive players of this era as well. The English wicketkeeper has been one of the faces of England’s T20I team.</p>
<p>He has scored 2713 runs in 98 T20I innings. His overall average and strike rate in the shortest format of the game are 34.78 and 144.07 respectively. Although his overall record is very good, his performances as an opener are phenomenal, to say the least.</p>
<p>After being promoted as an opener in 2018, Buttler has scored 1673 runs in 44 innings at the top of the order. His batting average and strike rate as an opener are a whopping 49.20 and 152.22 respectively. Thus, he has become way more destructive ever since he started batting at the top of the order.</p>
