Ravindra Jadeja’s journey starts right in 2008 when he was a part of the World Cup-winning U-19 team led by Virat Kohli. He was soon picked in the IPL where he performed decently. He got his international call very early too; however, he could not impress much at the start.

Jadeja continued to work hard and made sure that he was usually in and around the squad. He then made his Test debut in 2012 and soon formed a deadly spin-bowling duo with Ravi Ashwin. His batting prowess too is not to be forgotten as he is the only Indian to score 3 triple centuries in the Ranji Trophy. He often chipped in with valuable contributions lower down in the order while playing for India

Ravindra Jadeja won the golden ball in the 2013 Champions Trophy and was instrumental in India’s triumph. There were also phases in his career where he was criticized for offering too little as an all-rounder and few experts even called to replace him with a specialist batsman or bowler. But Jadeja answered his critics in style as he put up strong performances in all three departments. Though, after suffering a grave knee injury in August last year, Ravindra Jadeja took a long hiatus only to return in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.

Since then he has been a regular in the Indian team and has given some fabulous all-round performances. Currently, Jadeja is playing with the Indian Test side in the ongoing Caribbean tour, where he chipped in with five wickets in the Dominica Test for a winning cause. Last but not least, Jadeja is a gun fielder in the park and probably has the quickest throw in world cricket currently.
