India cricket team has won have many series and tournaments over the years. However, their triumph in the 2002 Natwest Trophy holds a special place in fans’ hearts. Under Sourav Ganguly’s leadership, the Men in Blue performed brilliantly as a unit and thrashed the Three Lions at their own den.

Apart from players, the Indian jersey in that tour was also highly appreciated. It was a trademark blue from top to bottom, but the national tricolour design in the middle put the jersey second in the list. Although there weren’t any dark colours, the features of the jersey were sharp, and one shouldn’t be surprised if the current Indian team sports this design again.

Notably, the stellar design isn’t the only reason behind the popularity of this kit. After all, who can forget the then Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly taking off his t-shirt in the Lord’s balcony after India had won the final match?
