Shane Watson’s efforts in the Indian Premier League have become quite underrated over the last couple of years due to a dip in his own form and the emergence of new players. However, when we take into account the entire history of the league, it shouldn’t surprise many that Watson is on top.

He has scored 3874 runs in 141 games at a strike rate of 137.91 and averages 30.99. The former RR player has also picked up 92 wickets while conceding at 7.93. He has smashed 4 centuries and has also picked up a hat-trick. His stats as a pure batsman and even as a pure bowler are quite good, and when they’re combined, it becomes quite obvious that he is an exceptional all-rounder.

The former CSK player has won 16 MOMs including one which came in the 2018 final against SRH when he scored a fantastic 117*. Watto won the Player of the Tournament Award in the first year of IPL and even won the MVP award in 2013.
