5. David Warner
David Warner has been the most consistent batsman in the IPL since 2014 as he has scored more than 500 runs in each of the 6 seasons he has been a part of since then. His arrival gave SRH’s batting a massive boost and is the most important player in their history. The SRH player’s ability to score runs season after season while maintaining an excellent strike rate is quite outstanding and there aren’t many who can do that.
He is the 3rd highest run-scorer of all time having scored 5254 runs in just 142 games at an average of 42.71 and has a strike rate of 141.54. He has played considerably lesser games than Kohli and Raina, and if he had played the same number of games, he could well have been at the top of the leaderboard. The Australian has won a record 3 Orange Caps.
The SRH skipper also had one of the best individual seasons performances of all time in 2016 when he scored 848 runs in 17 games at a strike rate of over 150, but it was overshadowed by Kohli’s heroics in the same season. He also has 17 MOMs and even has an IPL winners medal. He has breached the 50-run mark on 52 occasions, and that is the highest of any batsman.
