 Rajiv Gandhi stadium spans over 16 acres and can host 55,000 spectators. The pitch here is deemed to be batsman-friendly and the matches hosted are mostly high-scoring encounters. The average score in Rajiv Gandhi stadium for a T20 match is 156. It is the home stadium for the IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

It hosted the finals of the IPL 2017 and IPL 2019. Shane Watson rose to the occasion both the times, but could not deliver it in the latter succumbing to a well-fought 80 off 59 with Mumbai Indians winning the title by one run.
