South Africa has a rich sporting culture and cricket is a big part of it. It can be said that they have been declining as a global force in cricket in the past few years, but yet they have some quality cricketers who are capable of turning things around in the upcoming days. As a nation, they have several issues which not often get highlighted but yet, they have managed to keep the integrity of the game up. 

South Africans are often regarded as a sincere team and a unit that conducts themselves gracefully on the pitch. If one leaves aside the entire incident of Hansie Cronje being involved in fixing back in the day (which is pretty much what South Africans have done), there aren’t too many incidents where one can’t find fault in the way the Proteas play their game. 

There have been times when the Proteas players have been credited for the way they have carried their team to the top of world cricket.
