Dhananjay De Silva has been a top cricketer for Sri Lanka in 2021 in all three formats. He is brilliant with the bat, ball, and even when he fields. Dhananjay has been backed by Sri Lankan cricket to continuously play international cricket after having brilliant records in the domestic circuit.

In six Test matches, he scored 530 runs at an average of 58.88 scoring two hundreds and picking four wickets. In 11 ODIs he scored 304 runs and had six wickets to his name. In T20Is, he scored 81 runs which included a 40*. He was good in all three formats which is very rare nowadays.

Overall, he scored 915 international runs and picked 10 international wickets in 2021. The 30-year old bowls, he bats and he tops charts with both. He also created a record when he became the joint-fastest Sri Lankan to score 1000 Test runs merely in 23 innings. He has impressed everyone.
