Talking about the match, the Chennai Super Kings were asked to chase a daunting total of 197 to win. They failed to get a brisk start but Ambati Rayudu steadied the ship in the middle order. After Rayudu’s dismissal, MS Dhoni took the center stage. He smashed an unbeaten 79 off 44 deliveries with six fours and five sixes. The Super Kings lost the game by just 4 runs.
Needing 17 to win off the final over, Dhoni could only hit 13. This included a last ball six, albeit in vain. It is worth noting that he batted through a back pain in the match. Some cricketers rightly cited that one can never write off legendary players like MS Dhoni. He certainly still has it in him to make things count.
