Rashid Khan names the best bowler he has ever faced
Rashid celebrated his 21st birthday on September 20.
Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan leg-spinner, has given headaches to many in his international career. Recently, the Young Turk became the youngest Test captain in the match against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. In that contest, he picked up 11 wickets, scored a half-century and was rightly adjudged as the Player of the match for his all-round show.
The tweaker is presently a part of the Afghan team in the T20I tri-nation series, also involving the Tigers and Zimbabwe. Afghanistan has the longest winning streak of 12 matches in T20Is, broken lately by Hamilton Masakadza’s Zimbabwe, and Rashid has played a massive part in their success. Amidst his cricketing assignments, the Nangarhar-born talent has turned 21 years.
On the auspicious occasion, the wizard was showered with love and admiration from every nook and corner of the cricketing fraternity. Khan went for Sunil Narine, the West Indies spinner.
It was a bit of a surprise as a number of pundits pick the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins, both of whom have dominated batsmen around the world for quite some time now. As far as Narine is concerned, he has lot a bit of effectiveness after getting his action remodeled. The Trinidadian resorted to the same since he has been reported for suspect action plenty of times.
Sunil Narine- a genuine match-winner
Narine has been a genuine wicket-taker in the format ever since he made his debut back in 2011. In 33 matches, the 31-year-old has picked up 376 wickets with 11 four-wicket hauls and a fifer. In a generation of slam bam cricket, Narine has an economy of 6.04, numbers which are commendable. Back in 2014, Narine also bowled a maiden Over in a Super Over during the CPL.
He is presently plying his trade for the Trinbago Knight Riders and is playing under the leadership of Kieron Pollard, the newly-appointed skipper of the West Indies team. Over the last few years, Narine has also developed himself into a potent top-order batsman. The seasoned campaigner has 2,197 runs in the format at a strike-rate of 146.07 with as many as six fifties to his name.
