Hacking the social media accounts of the cricketers and the celebrities have become a norm these days and the latest to suffer from this was Shikhar Dhawan. He is currently busy playing in the ongoing Asia Cup and is gearing up to face the arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday. But the flamboyant batsman had to face the calamity ahead of the marquee clash and had to post a message to his fans about the same.
He made his fans and followers aware about his account getting hacked and requested them not to respond to any message received from his account. However, Dhawan also informed them that the account has been recovered by his social media team and there is nothing to worry now.
“Hi friends, please ignore any messages you may have received from my handle recently. My account was compromised but it has been restored,” he tweeted on Sunday only a few hours before India‘s Super Four encounter.
Rashid’s reply
Meanwhile, Rashid Khan is also preparing himself for the must-win game against Bangladesh. But he is known to be active on social media more often than not. He had received the message from Shikhar Dhawan’s hacked account and he didn’t waste any time in informing his IPL teammate about the same. It seems that soon after hacking the account, the user messaged Rashid given that both are good friends.
But the Afghanistan cricketer rightly ignored the message at the first place and saved himself. He responded to Dhawan’s tweet telling him about the same and hilariously went on to add that he was saved by the God’s grace. “I received it bach Gaya,” Rashid’s response read.
After getting out of the jail on social media, both the players will hope to make the difference for their respective teams on the field and win the game for them.
Here’s the thread of the convo:
