2. Virat Kohli
It may have taken time him to adapt to Test cricket but once he did, Virat Kohli hasn’t looked back. It was almost three years after his ODI debut that the Delhi lad received his maiden Test cap. However, he wasn’t a hit straight away. He struggled and was on the verge of getting dropped before he scored a career-turning ton in Adelaide in early 2012.
Kohli has been absolutely dominant across conditions. He failed big time in England in 2014 (134 runs in 10 innings) but made amends the next time he toured England as he smashed 593 runs in 10 innings. Be it South Africa, Australia, New Zealand or at home, India’s No. 4 has been fabulous.
He has amassed 7202 runs which is the third-highest since January 2010 and averages 54.97. The current Indian skipper has also scored 27 Test tons which is the most in this decade. Thus, Kohli has been one of the best Test batters in this decade.
