Only recently, the entire nation was left in utter shock as it lost one of its iconic Bollywood actresses of the industry. The sudden demise of Sridevi on Sunday sent shockwaves throughout the country. The actor, aged 54, reportedly died due to a sudden cardiac arrest while in Dubai. Husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi were also with the actress in Dubai for nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding.

Although initially it was reported that the 54-year-old actress sudden death was due to cardiac arrest, the post-mortem report states otherwise, citing accidental drowning as the cause of death. While this revelation has sent the media into a frenzy, Indian offspinner Ravi Ashwin seems extremely perturbed with such the ongoing ‘media circus.’

Ashwin also took to his Twitter handle raising questions about same that is being carried in the media out post-Sridevi’s death. He tweeted, “I am sure the family is grieving Sridevi’s death, we the nation want to know or create more grief? Bizarre #RIPSridevi #cantwewait”

Ashwin to lead KXIP in IPL 2018

Ravi Ashwin was named ahead of the likes of Yuvraj Singh and David Miller to skipper the Kings XI Punjab side in the upcoming season of IPL. The announcement was made public by Virender Sehwag during a live session on Facebook.

Ashwin, since his foray in the league, donned the yellow outfit of Chennai Super Kings. The veteran offie was with the southpaws till 2015, before the franchise got served with a 2-year ban. In those two seasons, Ashwin plied his trade for the Rising Pune Supergiant. They were one of the two interim franchises for the past two season as CSK along with Rajasthan Royals were banned for their involvement in spot-fixing.

Thus, Ashwin looks all charged up to take on his new role. Also, as part of his preparations, the witty off-spinner is keen to enrich his repertoire of variations. And in a bid to do so, he is practicing leg spin as an added option to unleash it when necessary.
