While a majority of the cricketing world is still coming to terms with Glenn Maxwell and his audacious hitting prowess, Ravi Ashwin and Harsha Bhogle seem to have found a solution to the demoralized bowlers. The 27-year old Aussie all-rounder smashed the ball to different parts of Pallekele as he amassed a mammoth 145 runs in just 65 deliveries. Aaron Finch, however, holds the record of being the highest score by an Australian in T20 internationals.
Glenn Maxwell came out to open the batting with skipper David Warner as he raised a few eyebrows as he did. He came in and simply clobbered the Sri Lankan bowling to different parts of the stadium and brought up his century in no time. He was joined by Travis Head who also smashed the ball to various parts and impressed with some decent spinning abilities as well.
Twitter erupted, but, it was the tweets of two gentlemen that made the Indian Twitterati go wild. In spite of being frozen out of the Indian commentary box, Harsha Bhogle has earned a lot of traction with his views on Facebook and Twitter.
@bhogleharsha 4 overs of bowling power play,2 of which can be bowled with a tennis ball and 2 with the bowling machine operated by a bowler?

R Ashwin was the first to reply to Harsha’s tweet of “Back 10 overs 153? 100 partnership in 39 balls? Maxwell 145(65)? Head’s 45 at a better SR? Total 263. What next? Bowler anyone?”
India’s premier off-spinner said, “@bhogleharsha 4 overs of bowling power play,2 of which can be bowled with a tennis ball and 2 with the bowling machine operated by a bowler”
Virender Sehwag also got in on the act with some wonderful wit and humor.
