After the seriously fought over contest, India finally took a 1-0 lead in the first match of the One-Day International series against Australia at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram stadium. India’s match against Australia yesterday was entertaining, to say the least- there were bowlers being smashed for hattricks of maximums twice, there were mind-blowing fast bowling spells, there were top players being dismissed on a duck and a single run, there was the dominating territory of wrist-spinning leggies and there was rain. And with all the drama involved, it’s hard to keep a straight face as emotions are all over the place especially because of the two teams involved in the match.

However, Ravi Shastri sat through it all with a grumpy face that was a potential meme the moment we saw it on our TV screens but it looks like we underestimated its potential as the face became a hit on Twitter. And unsurprisingly, the comeback of the Indian team was not the only thing to be talked about. Ravi too enjoyed his fair share of fame, not for coaching but for one of the most hilarious reasons.

While most in the stadium, be it the fans or the players- were happy and ecstatic when Team India was bowling as they took control over the match yet again. Shastri, on the other hand, had the most frustrated expression ever, grim, serious and cold.

From “If Monday has a face” to “When your parents make you watch Aastha channel at early morning,” Twitter had the best reactions to this picture, ones that make you ROFL. Some even seriously started believing that Shastri was sitting through the match with a hangover or actually was high during the match.
