Ravi Shastri was recently appointed the Indian coach till the 2019 World Cup. The Indian team enjoyed considerable success when he was the team manager in the past. Shastri during his playing days scored close to 7000 runs in international cricket. He was also a part of the World Cup winning squad back in 1983 when cricket wasn’t as popularly followed in India. He also had decades of famous stints as a commentator.
After he took over the coaching reigns from Anil Kumble, Team India has won the ODI series in West Indies followed by a total whitewash of Sri Lanka in all 3 formats. There is a long season to follow including a tour to South Africa and under his guidance, the Men in Blue would be looking forward to delivering to their potential best.
