India’s ace spinner in Tests, Ravichandran Ashwin, recently talked in detail about the possibility of him making a comeback for the country in clothing for India. Ashwin believes he wouldn’t lose his sleep over the chances as he feels he hasn’t done too much wrong in white ball cricket off-late.

It all changed for India’s spin twin in all formats of the game, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Aswin, during the selection of the ODI squad for Sri Lanka tour as the wrist spinners in the country featuring the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav got the nod ahead of the seasoned campaigners.

Looking at their performances in the recent encounters, the possibility of the Spin Twin featuring in the coloured clothing seems bleak especially looking at India’s plans for the ICC World Cup 2019 in England.

Not seen much of Kuldeep Yadav: Ashwin

“For me, it’s not a comeback, I am not desperate at all. One day, the opportunity will come on my door knocking because I haven’t done too much wrong. So, when I get the opportunity, I will probably try and raise my game to the best of my ability,” stated an optimistic Ravichandran Ashwin according to TOI.

Ashwin then suggested that due to the timings in England during his stint with the Worcestershire CCC, he wasn’t able to have look at Kuldeep Yadav. “I just watched one game and a few overs on Saturday The England timings didn’t allow me to watch much of cricket…But I am sure he would have done well as he is a good bowler and I have enjoyed watching him closely,” claimed Ash.

Ashwin concluded by stating that he has been in great shape post IPL. “I have been in great condition ever since I missed the IPL this year. I have trained hard and you have to take the test and decide how it goes,” ended Ashwin.
