Indian skipper Virat Kohli missed the fourth and final Test between India and Australia which was marked to be the decider due to a shoulder injury which he picked up during the third Test match at Ranchi. Former Australian batsman Brad Hodge took a dig at the Indian captain for missing the crucial match at Dharamsala questioning his ethics.
The accusation did not go down well with Indian fans and Hodge was criticized heavily for his words on the Indian captain who is known to put his country above everything else. After the lashing out of the fans the former Australian cricketer apologized to Virat Kohli and the Indian fans saying that he did not intend to hurt anyone. Earlier Australian skipper Steve Smith who has been the highest run-getter in the bitterly fought Border-Gavaskar Trophy also apologized for letting his emotions slip during the series.
The Indian public may have accepted the apology of the Gujarat Lions’ coach but the words seem to be ringing in the ears of Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who has now taken a dig at Hodge. Ashwin chose popular social media website Twitter to express his thoughts on the apology made by the former cricketer.
The bowler who now holds the record for most wickets in a single season trolled Brad by saying that 30th March would be remembered as the world apology day. The Tamil Nadu man tweeted, “On a lighter note, from this year onwards 30th march will be remembered as world apology day”

Ashwin also had a decent series against the Australians as he came back strongly in the second innings of the final Test picking up three Australian wickets restricting them to a low score of 137 runs. The bowler also congratulated his team Tamil Nadu on twitter for clinching the Deodhar Trophy. He said “Extremely proud of what @TNCACricket has achieved this year. There can’t be a more happier person than me, and champion stuff”
