Ravichandran Ashwin seals the mouth of a ill-informed fan

Ravichandran Ashwin is regularly seen engaging in the battle of wits and humor on Twitter. This time, again one twitter user (who has a history of engaging in banters with Ashwin) Nibraz Ramzan from Sri Lanka again came up with an idea of pulling the Ashwin’s leg only to realize that he has misunderstood the ace off-spinner name in the scorecard with his namesake Murugan Ashwin of Rising Pune SuperGiants.

Ashwin quickly made the man realize his mistake. He said that the person whom he is referring is Murugan Ashwin and not him.

Ravichandran Ashwin had taken 0/26 on Thursday while Murugan Ashwin had taken 2/31. The fan, who was in a ‘foot in your mouth’ situation did not stop and tried harder to getter better of Ashwin. He accepted his confusion but said that the other Ashwin has still done better. He tweeted,

Nibraz Ramzan actually is not the first one who was confused by the similar last names of both the spinners. Leg spinner Murugan Ashwin raised eyebrows when he was signed by Rising Pune SuperGiants for a whopping sum. So, far in the tournament, Murugan has been doing quite well.

MS Dhoni has tried him in pressure situation and the young leggie has fared well. Senior Ashwin, on the other hand, has still not got among the wicket, partly because of the fewer chances he gets these days.
