Apart from trapping the batsmen in front of the wicket, acrobatic fielding and scoring quickfire runs down the order, what Ravindra Jadeja loves to do is to spend time with his horses.

Jadeja had very recently said that he was initially “scared of them and wouldn’t go close”. “My friend had some horses about 5-6 years ago. Initially, I was quite scared of them and wouldn’t go close,” he said.

“After that, I bought a farm house in Gujarat. He told me then that if you want to keep some horses, I can give you one and you can start with that. I started from there. So he gave me one and said I could horse ride whenever I get the time. I’ve been interested since and loved it soon after.”

Just a couple of months back, he had welcomed a new member ‘Vaari’, a baby horse to his family. “I used to go to my farmhouse whenever I got the time and it helped me switch off from cricket completely. I have six horses now,” he added.

Currently, the 27-year old is in the Carribean for the Test series against West Indies. It seems like the all-rounder is missing his horses. Jaddu found a horse near the team hotel and was quick to share his joy in the social network with his fans and followers.

He posted a photo of him with the horse on the beach and the caption read – ‘Met this stallion at our hotel beach. Very calm n friendly #horselove #friends #rajputboy’
