Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja endured a forgettable outing with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022 and returned midway due to an injury. Jadeja, who is currently spending some time off the field, talked about his noteworthy initiative through a social media post. The southpaw took to Twitter on June 8 and announced the initiative he and his wife Rivaba Jadeja took for the welfare of underprivileged girls on the occasion of their daughter’s 5th birthday.
The Jadeja couple decided to open 101 Sukanya Samridhi Accounts at the Jamnagar post office in a bid to elevate the status of underprivileged young girls in the area. An initial amount of Rs 11000 was deposited in each of the Sukanya Samridhi Accounts.
The couple also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his inspiration during his eight-year tenure as the PM of India so far. The all-rounder also went on to thank Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan (Minister of State for Communications of India) for his support and encouragement in this endeavour. Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja was seen affiliating with the families at the post office on the occasion of her daughter Kunwaribashree Nidhyanaba’s 5th birthday.

Ravindra Jadeja is known for his social work in the state of Gujarat
This is not the first time that the Indian cricketer has been involved in social work. Last year during the Covid-19 crisis, Jadeja lent his hand to the needy families in the area. Jadeja’s sister had revealed the work done by his brother for the welfare of the people.
“During the lockdown, we had helped several families by delivering rations to their homes. Though Jaddu personally did not go to people’s houses since it always attracts massive crowds, our team ensured that food was delivered to houses in need.” Naina Jadeja had said in an interview with ABP live.
“Jaddu doesn’t like being in the limelight because of social work. Whatever he has to do, he wants to do it away from the public eye,” Naina added.
