Ravindra Jadeja sizzles in 'cool jacket' gifted to him by KL Rahul

Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t played much cricket in the last two months. He played for the Chennai Super Kings, the victorious team which emerged triumphant in the eleventh edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League. He scored 89 runs in the event at an average of 17.80 and also chipped in with 16 wickets with best figures of 18/3 against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Pune.

He only has played one match in the last one month- the historic Test between India and Afghanistan at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. He picked up six wickets in the match at the cost of 35 runs. He was Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling partner in the spin department and played an integral role in India’s triumph. His next assignment is India’s upcoming five-match Test series against England.

The Men in Blue under the leadership of Kohli recently played three T20Is followed by as many ODIs on English soil. They won the T20I series, but couldn’t hold on to their form in the 50-overs format. After winning the first match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, they lost in London and Leeds respectively. Jadeja wasn’t a part of both the squads. He last played white-ball cricket for India back in July 2017.

However, the emergence of tweakers in the form of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav has kept him in the sidelines. His focus will now be to perform to expectations in the Test series. Apart from his cricketing prowess, Jadeja is also known for his style statement. He has altered his beard and his hairstyle on a number of occasions. Recently, KL Rahul gifted him a jacket.

Jadeja was ecstatic after receiving the gift. He uploaded his picture in the outfit on Instagram and thanked Rahul. He wrote, “Fashion has to reflect who you are, what you feel at the moment, and where you’re going. Cool jacket bro @Rahulkl #gully #rajputboy”

Rahul was quick to spot the post and he was happy for the reason that the all-rounder liked the present. He replied and wrote, “@royalnavghan thanks brotherman (smiley) glad you liked it”
