Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba has offered a helping hand to the visually impaired. On her birthday, she pledged to donate her eyes after her demise. The cricketer’s spouse is aware of the travails of a specially-abled person and she is ready to help them in every way possible.

Rivaba, who’s married to the Saurashtra cricketer since April 2016, urged her followers to support the needy in crisis. She requested people to come forward for the noble cause.

“With God’s grace, I have every essential organ that a human body needs and maybe that’s why I cannot feel the pain of a blind person. But if in any way I can help them, it will be an honour for me,” Rivaba was quoted as saying in Gulf News.

“I cannot explain what I am feeling right now but it is really peace giving and a satisfying moment for me. Hence, I want to appeal to everyone to make your death remembered by helping others for a noble cause,” she added.

Ravindra Jadeja preparing for IPL 2020

Jadeja is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), preparing for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the T20 event, he represents the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the three-time champions of the T20 tournament.

Even as he’s busy with preparations and following COVID-19 protocols, he didn’t miss out on wishing his spouse on her birthday. He uploaded a collage of two pictures, calling her ‘his strength, joy and inspiration’.

He captioned the picture and wrote, “Janamdin Mubarak my queen. Thank you for being my source of strength, my joy and my life inspiration. #happybirthday.”

Jadeja has been a linchpin of the CSK setup and has contributed with both bat and ball. He started playing for the Rajasthan Royals before moving to the Super Kings. Jadeja also had a stint for the defunct Gujarat Lions when CSK and RR were serving their two-year suspension period.

In the IPL, Jadeja has 1,927 runs and 108 wickets from 108 matches. The 31-year-old has also been a crucial member of the Indian national team. In the last couple of years, he has evolved a handy lower-order batsman as well.
