RCB releases Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera for SL T20 WC squad ahead of Eliminator against KKR
Sri Lanka will play their first Qualifier match of the 2021 T20 World Cup on 18th October 2021 against Namibia.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise has released Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera from their bio bubble ahead of the IPL 2021 playoffs.
The duo will be joining the Sri Lankan squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup qualifiers. The RCB Twitter handle also wished both these players ahead of the Qualifiers and thanked them for their professionalism and hard work during the tournament.
“Wanindu Hasaranga & Dushmantha Chameera have been released from the RCB bio bubble as they join up with the SL team for their WorldT20 qualifiers. We wish both of them the best & thank them for their professionalism & hard work during IPL 2021,” tweeted the official handle of the RCB franchise.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their Eliminator against the Kolkata Knight Riders
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side produced a sensational performance during the league stages of IPL 2021, and finished at 3rd place in the points table, winning 9 out of their 14 matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will now take on the Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side in the Eliminator of IPL 2021 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 11th October 2021.
Glenn Maxwell and Harshal Patel have set the stage on fire with their superlative performances in the tournament for RCB. While Maxwell is the leading run-scorer for the RCB franchise and has plundered 498 runs at an average of 45.27 and a strike rate of 147.34 with the willow, Harshal Patel is the leading wicket-taker in the 14th IPL season and has scalped a whopping 30 wickets.
Both Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera could not make an impact in IPL 2021. Hasaranga played just 2 matches in the UAE leg of the IPL, while Chameera did not play even a single match in the entire tournament for the Virat Kohli-led outfit. Sri Lanka will play their first Qualifer match of the 2021 T20 World Cup on 18th October 2021 against Namibia.
