Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was defeated by Lucknow Super Giants by 28 runs in Bangalore in IPL 2024.
Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, had a good debut season to remember, as they won nine out of fourteen games and were placed third in the table despite sharing an equal number of wins with Rajasthan Royals, courtesy of having a lesser net run-rate. They failed to go past the eliminator as they lost against RCB by a close margin of 14 runs. KL Rahul enjoyed the season by ending as the second-highest run-getter in the tournament. He along with Quinton de Kock registered a record 210-run partnership for the first wicket against KKR. LSG were also consistent in the 2023 edition as well.
