Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been eluded of an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy despite having a promising squad over the years. They did quite well in IPL in the last four years, as they reached the playoffs in three the seasons. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have also disappointed with their performance in recent years. They finished second last in the points table in IPL 2021. RR finished runners up in 2022 but failed to qualify in 2023 before finishing 3rd in 2024.

Bangalore vs Rajasthan Last Meeting:
The teams last met in the Eliminator of IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. RCB lost a very crucial toss and were sent in to bat. RCB's innings wasn't anything very special and they had to ride on the back of thirties from Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror to post just 172 after R Ashwin's 2/19 denied them in the middle overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, helped by some poor fielding, got off to a flier, but RR slowed down after he was dismissed. Cameron Green and Lockie Feguson kept a very tight leash on RR in the middle overs with the equation reduced to 45 off 30 after which Shimron Hetmyer let loose on Green picking up 17 runs off the over. The result was a bit of a formality after that and even Mohammed Siraj's dismissals of Riyan Parag and Hetmyer in the same over did not really help RCB as Rovman Powell quelled all remaining doubts.
