Rohit Sharma continued his consistency in limited overs format as he started off India’s down under tour with an unbeaten 171 smashing the Australian bowlers for biggies at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground, Perth. Rohit, who has a good record in converting centuries into big knocks kept the streak going as he converted his 7th consecutive ton in ODIs into a 135+ score. During this inning, Rohit broke various records and affected a lot of stats and helped his side post a total of 309 for loss of just 3 wickets in restricted 50 overs though it proved insufficient in the end as Australia overhauled it with relative ease. Here are the records Rohit Sharma created with his unbeaten 171.

171* – Rohit’s unbeaten knock of 171 is the highest individual score against Australia in Australia. Previous was Viv Richards’ 153* in 1979 at MCG. Rohit and Richards are the only players who have scored 150+ in an ODI innings against Australia in Australia.

19 – Innings taken by Rohit to score 1000 runs in ODIs against Australia. He is the fastest to score 1000 runs against Australia. Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara took 20 innings to completed 1000 ODI runs against Australia.
