Reports: Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan's wedding to have only 20 guests, mobile phones not allowed

The wedding news of Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah with sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan has been doing rounds for some time now. As per the latest reports, the two will be getting married in Goa on March 14, where only a selected few people have been invited. The couple has reportedly done their best to keep this wedding ceremony a private affair. 

Bumrah requested the Indian team to release him from the Test squad after the third match in Ahmedabad against England. It was also revealed at the time that the young pacer will also miss the T20I and ODI series against England. But, the news of his wedding popped out and social media started to speculate a few names. 

After a few days of speculation, it was confirmed that Ganesan is indeed Bumrah’s bride-to-be. According to a report published in Times Of India, the couple will be getting married in presence of only a total of 20 other members from their respective families. COVID-19 is the reason behind less attendance.

No mobile phones allowed as the couple tries to keep their wedding private

It was also revealed that no mobile phones will be allowed during the wedding, as the couple is trying to avoid any sort of public attention and want this to be a private event. Even after so much speculation about the wedding on social media, neither of these two stars from the sporting globe has confirmed anything. 

Sanjana Ganesan is a pretty known face in the media industry. She was a finalist at the Miss India Pageant in 2014 and later on appeared in MTV Splitsvilla. She has been seen in several sports shows of Star Sports. It can be assumed that Bumrah and Ganesan might have met during one of the many cricket series which Star had covered. 

When Bumrah was initially given leave from the Test series, BCCI had informed in a statement that the bowler had asked for leave for ‘personal reasons’. It was later revealed that he is getting married. None of his Indian teammates will be present for his wedding as they are in the bio bubble in Ahmedabad currently.
