Reports: Rahul Dravid wants Rohit Sharma or KL Rahul to be India's next white-ball captain

Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the next Head Coach of the Indian cricket team. Dravid will take over the reins from outgoing coach Ravi Shastri after the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup.
And, Dravid was asked as to who he wants as the next white-ball captain of the Indian cricket team. And to that, the 48-year-old said that his first choice would be Rohit Sharma, while his second option would be KL Rahul.
“Who do you see as the next Indian white-ball captain?” was one of the questions for Dravid. His first choice was Sharma followed by KL Rahul,” stated a report in The Indian Express.

Rahul Dravid said that it is an honour to be appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian cricket team, and added that the Indian side did a good job under Ravi Shastri. Adding that the players have the passion to improve every day, Dravid concluded by stating that he is looking forward to working with the players and the support staff of the Indian team.
“It is an absolute honour to be appointed as the new Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team and I am really looking forward to this role. Under (outgoing head coach) Mr (Ravi) Shastri, the team has done very well, and I hope to work with the team to take this forward.
Having worked closely with most of the boys either at NCA, U 19 and India A set-up, I know they have the passion and desire to improve every day. There are some marquee multi-team events in the next two years, and I look forward to working with the players and the support staff to achieve our potential,” concluded Rahul Dravid.
Rahul Dravid represented India in 164 Tests and 344 ODIs. While he scored 13288 runs in Tests, the right-hander amassed 10889 runs in the ODI format of the game. Dravid played his last international match for India in the year 2012.
