Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the most struggling teams in the ongoing IPL 2018. However, there are more struggles yet to come for their players as their skipper Virat Kohli, who is unwell is likely to miss the upcoming game against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.
As per reports on Sportstar, Virat Kohli didn’t turn up for the net session on the eve of the game. If the regular captain is deemed unfit for the game, it is highly likely that the RCB team management will pick AB de Villiers as their stand-in captain for today’s game. RCB is currently situated at the seventh position on the points table.
Kohli throws a party at his teammates
RCB skipper Virat Kohli played the perfect host when he invited his teammates to his restaurant Nueva in South Delhi ahead of their 11th game against Daredevils. AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj and bowling coach Ashish Nehra were at the party.
Kohli recently visited Mohammed Siraj’s house in Hyderabad and had the local biryani with his teammates. The teammates enjoyed the delicacies and the pacer thanked Virat for giving him the best gift ever of his life.
RCB still not out of playoffs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are still in the contention for the playoffs if they win their upcoming four big games. They are all set to play against Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. RCB is having just six points in the 10 games they have played thus far with three wins and seven defeats.
With four must-win games on the way, it’s clear for RCB not to take any wrong step that might result in disqualification. Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to win an IPL title in the 10-year tournament history.
