Rishabh Pant is a popular figure in the Indian cricketing circle. His swashbuckling style of play has attracted a number of fans over the time being. Though he has been a tad inconsistent at the highest level, the poor form hasn’t affected his fandom by any stretch of the imagination. The 21-year-old keeper is so much admired that a fangirl went on to propose him.
It happened when Pant was giving away autographs ahead of India’s third T20I versus South Africa at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Pant’s right-hand was taped for some reason. In the meantime, the girl shouted at the southpaw, saying ‘I Love You’. The sudden occurring took Pant by a bit of surprise. The left-hander looked down and blushed, giving a smile.
Later, the girl uploaded the video of the same on his Twitter handle, named @salvipatell. She captioned the video and wrote, “Atleast @RishabhPant17 knows I love him omg look at how he blushed in the end #RishabhPant,”

Rishabh Pant yet to settle down
Pant has been excellent in Test cricket ever since he made his debut last year against England at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. In his short career, he also has centuries at the Kennington Oval and the Sydney Cricket Ground. But it’s his form in the limited-overs formats that has been the most concerning. In 12 ODIs and 19 T20Is, he averages in the 20s despite showing a lot of promise.
Of late, he has had to face a lot of brickbats for throwing his wicket away through rash shots. Pant succumbed to a poor stroke even in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand after getting his eyes in. Recently, he was a part of the T20I and ODI series in the West Indies.
In the Caribbean, he got a fifty in the third T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. But apart from that he couldn’t quite get going. In the second T20I versus South Africa in Mohali, he got out to spinner Bjorn Fortuin after scoring only four runs, caught by Tabraiz Shamsi at short fine-leg.
