Rishabh Pant is known for his bubbly and maverick personality.
Team India is all set to resume their international duties as they will square off against New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship from June 18 to June 22 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. After the WTC final, India will play a five-match Test series against England, starting from August 4.
For the two marquee events, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named a 20-member squad along with four standby players. All the UK-bound cricketers and other staff members are currently serving a mandatory quarantine period in a hotel in Mumbai. The team will fly to England on June 2 and will again enter a 14-day quarantine period.
Ahead of the England tour, India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is training hard in the gym and is trying his level best to maintain his fitness. The young rookie keeps posting his training videos while being in quarantine on his official Instagram handle. However, the 23-year-old isn’t forgetting to have fun while following his fitness regime.
Pant is known for his bubbly and maverick personality. He again gave a glimpse of his bubbly self as he posted a hilarious video on his Instagram story. In the short clip, Pant can be seen lifting Team India’s performance analyst Hari Prasad Mohan with ease. The wicketkeeper also swiveled the analyst with him and took Mohan by surprise with his strength.
Sharing the hilarious clip, Pant wrote, “Hahahahah @hariprasadmohan.”
Rishabh Pant will be the first-choice wicketkeeper for India
Pant is experiencing a dream ride in the longest format of the game as he is making heads turn with his attractive glovework and stunning performance with the willow. He was the highest run-getter for India during the four-match Test series against Australia. The 23-year-old continued his blistering form during the four-match Test series against England too as he was the third-highest run-scorer after Joe Root and Rohit Sharma.
Rishabh will be the first choice wicketkeeper for the Indian cricket team for the World Test Championship against New Zealand followed by a five-match Test series against England. India will hope that the batter continues his assault in the final too and help the team in winning the elite title.
