Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian leg-spinner last played international cricket in the month of February during the tour of New Zealand. In the ODI series, he did exceptionally well, but couldn’t save the Men in Blue from the 0-3 defeat. In the last three years or so, Chahal has become one of India’s key components in the spin bowling department along with chinaman Kuldeep Yadav.

He was set to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but he would have to wait for the time being. The tournament was scheduled to get underway on March 29 with the match between the Mumbai Indians (MI), the defending champions and three-time title winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni.

However, it had to be postponed for an indefinite time period as the coronavirus started taking charge. In the meantime, Chahal has been turning no stone down in staying in touch with his fans and well-wishers. He posted quite a few hilarious videos on Tik-Tok where he performed with his family as well. The videos came on Australian batsmen David Warner’s attention as well.

But Chahal hasn’t been on Tik-Tok of late as the Indian government has banned 59 Chinese applications, including the short video platform. In the meantime, Chahal posted a throwback picture with Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of the Indian ODI and T20I side. Chahal and Rohit share a healthy camaraderie having even played for the Mumbai based franchise in the IPL.

Their healthy relationship can also be on the social media. In Chahal’s latest post, he called Rohit a ‘big brother.’ The leg-break bowler captioned the picture and wrote, “I don’t need a superhero, I have a big brother.”

Thereafter, Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit’s spouse, had to say something. She replied to Chahal and wrote, “Aaawwwww.” Even Ritika shares a great camaraderie with Chahal.

Like Chahal, Rohit also played in the New Zealand tour. During the T20Is, he injured himself and missed the Test and ODI series. He was set to lead MI as well in the IPL, but has to wait due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
