The nation seems to have been split into two because of the Virender Sehwag – Gurmehar Kaur Twitter war. While the former India opener tried to cover up for his response which was misconstrued to bully the 20-year-old Kaur, the damage has been done already. And Sehwag has been receiving a lot of flak from his very own fans.

In case you didn’t know, Sehwag, in response to Kaur’s picture message which read: “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war did,” uploaded another picture message which read, “I did not score 2 triple centuries, my bat did.” While the cricketer may have just intended to sound humorous, his Tweet didn’t go down well with the masses who called it a bully against a young girl trying to voice her opinion.

Amidst all the chaos and confusion, popular RJ Naved shared an important message for both the warring sides in a YouTube video. Much like Kaur’s initial picture messages, the Radio Mirchi RJ also shared a pictorial message which, picture after picture, read thus –

“Dear Gurmehar Kaur and Virender Sehwag, I have to say something to you both, and also to all the nationalists in the country, and the anti-nationals. And also to the ones who should go to Pakistan. I have just one thing to say to you. Stop wasting paper.”

He further explained his message by saying that if we save papers, we can save trees. Trees will further save people – which include both nationalists and anti-nationalists.

RJ Naved pleaded for peace and also showed the backside of the papers which he used for his pictorial message. It was used paper, by which he meant to say that even though he is spreading the message of not wasting papers, it should not backfire on him.
