Manish Pandey has been around the Indian team for a while now and is still trying to find his feet. The cricketer who turned 29 today must currently be preparing for the Asia Cup 2018 that starts in less than a week. Rohit Sharma who will be leading the Indian team in that tournament wished Pandey on his birthday and also had some advice for him.
The Asia Cup was slated to be hosted in India but with the participation of Pakistan being a problem due to the political unrest between the two countries it had to be moved to a neutral venue. UAE was picked as the new host nation and the six Asian teams will now assemble there to crown the Asian ODI champions.
Rohit in his tweet asked Pandey to make sure he stays hydrated as they will soon be subject to the Dubai heat. “Happy birthday @im_manishpandey hope you’re staying hydrated to prepare for Dubai heat. See you soon,” the Indian opener wrote.

Now there might be an inside story linked to it as we all know what dehydrates the human body. Maybe Rohit tried to tell Manish that he shouldn’t indulge a lot in all that even though it’s his birthday since they will soon be on the field for the Asia Cup.
Pandey on his part had to work hard to secure a berth in the team. He was only a part of the Indian T20I team for the tour of UK, he played two T20Is vs Ireland and the team didn’t require his services against England. A strong performance with the bat while leading India B in the Quadrangular series helped him earn a recall in the team for the Asian challenge.
He will be eager to now capitalize on his chance and strengthen his position in the middle-order as a lot of other players in the likes of Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav as well as Dinesh Karthik are also in line for the same spot.
Here are some of the other tweets wishing Pandey a happy 29th:

He's played 47 limited-overs internationals and his brilliant 104* v Australia helped India chase down 331 with two balls to spare at the SCG in 2016.
