Indian middle-order batsman Rohit Sharma found a unique way to mix his workout and the dark cloudy weather in the Caribbean. The rain gods have been severe on the tour and has already washed away day 2 and day 3 of the final Test after washing a majority of play on day 1.
While the rain hampered the cricket action on the field, Rohit Sharma chose to go paddleboarding in the island nation at Port of Spain. Rohit posted a picture on his Facebook handle with a caption, “Thought I’d mix up my workout and try my hand at paddleboarding”. Surely, the swashbuckling batsman has found a unique way to workout.
Rohit did not feature in the first two Tests of the series but got an opportunity in the 3rd Test, when he was picked ahead of Cheteshwar Pujara in the playing eleven. Rohit failed to impress on the occasion and could score just 9 in the first innings. He was a tad better in the second innings and scored 41. He has got yet another opportunity in the final Test, where skipper Virat Kohli chose to play an extra batsman and hence both Pujara and Rohit got a place in the playing eleven.
At the moment, it can surely be said that if there is someone who is making the most of the cloudy weather in the Caribbean, it has to be Rohit Sharma.

India desperately needed a 3-0 win in the series to stay at the top spot in the ICC Test rankings but with the persistent rains, the target seems to be an unreachable one. India reduced West Indies to 62/2 on day 1 before the rain intervened. Earlier in the series, during the 2nd Test, it was rain that had hampered India’s chances of winning and the visitors had to settle for a draw.
