Rohit Sharma extends his wishes to the parents-to-be Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have reached UAE for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are expecting their first child and this delightful announcement has sent the internet into a meltdown. The soon-to-be parents are expecting the birth of their newborn in the month of January next year.
The love story of the Indian skipper and Bollywood diva is something that has kept the fans fascinated over the years. The couple had first met on an advertisement set while shooting for a Shampoo brand back in 2013. Virat and Anushka, lovingly called as Virushka by their fans, then dated for four years before formally tying the knot in a private ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family in Florence, Italy in December 2017.
Both Anushka and Virat had made this big announcement regarding the arrival of their little one through their respective social media handles. The duo had shared a picture where Anushka can be seen flaunting her baby bump while wearing a black and white polka dot dress as she posed with her cricketer beau.
They captioned the picture as, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021”

Within minutes after the couple shared the news on social media, congratulatory messages started pouring in for the parents-to-be from the who’s who of the film and cricket industry. Many of their colleagues and acquaintances had extended their warm wishes for this new journey.
A plethora of cricketers from all over the world including the likes of KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Faf du Plessis, Wriddhiman Saha, Ajinkya Rahane, Chris Gayle, Umesh Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Harbhajan Singh and many others congratulated the couple.
A close friend and India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who is a doting father to his two-year-old baby girl, also wished the couple all the best for their new innings. Taking to Twitter, Rohit wrote, “Congratulations to you both. Best wishes for the new innings.”
Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have reached UAE for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, which is scheduled to start from September 19, and will be leading their IPL franchises Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians respectively.
