The debate of the cricketers WAGs travelling with them on the tours is still open. But with Team India on the road since November 2018, once can understand the demand of the players to allow their families to travel with them on tours. While most of the cricketers’ wives are with them currently in New Zealand, Rohit Sharma is badly missing his wife and the new-born daughter Samaira.
The Men in Blue played three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs in Australia before going to the Kiwi nation where they are scheduled to be involved in 5 ODIs and three T20 Internationals. The long gruelling tour of Trans-Tasman nations has kept them away from India since November and will only go back home in the second week of February which is a long gap.
Rohit superb message
After watching his team-mates enjoy with their families, Rohit Sharma must have surely missed Ritika Sajdeh’s presence in New Zealand. The couple was blessed with the baby on December 30 and Rohit had travelled to India all the way from Australia to stay with his extended family for a week. However, he had to return being the vital cog of the limited-overs line-up.
Expressing his love and how much he is missing his family, Rohit posted his picture with Ritika and captioned it with a message which clearly indicated that he wants to get back home quickly. Not only him, even Ritika and the baby is awaiting Rohit’s return to home as a busy cricketing schedule awaits him.
Here’s Rohit’s post:
As far as Rohit Sharma’s onfield appearances are concerned, he endured a rare failure with the bat in the first ODI against New Zealand. Moreover, Rohit is also set to lead the team in the final two games of the series and in the following T20I series as well with Virat Kohli being rested.
