The Indian cricket team is in London for the 2nd Test match of the series against England. Ahead of the Lord’s Test, the entire team along with the coaching staff was hosted by the Indian High Commission in London. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a picture of the team with the High Commissioner and there was one exception. Rohit Sharma who isn’t with the team for the Test series liked a tweet that will raise quite a few eyebrows.
While no WAGs (Wives or Girlfriends) were present Anushka Sharma stood beside husband Virat Kohli in the centre of the picture. The image soon circulated all around social media and fans started pointing out just the one odd element in the picture. From among the tons of replies on the BCCI’s tweet, Rohit liked one that indicated dual standards on part of the board as it allowed Anushka to be there.

As per the BCCI’s most recent update, WAGs will only be allowed to accompany the travelling players for 14 days. While they are free to pick how they use this duration they are not permitted to do that during the first three Test matches. Thus the wives and girlfriends who have accompanied Indian cricketers to England can join them only after the 3rd Test of the series which ends on August 22 in Nottingham.
Here are the tweets:
The tweet that Rohit liked reads- “@ImRo45 void is filled up by @AnushkaSharma I believe WAG’s are not allowed till 3rd test. Different rules for different players!”

The second like on his timeline is another post that calls for his inclusion in the Test team. The limited-overs opener last played a Test match on the tour of South Africa and has been out of favour since.
It read- “Rohit Sharma averages 58.19, batting at no 6 in tests. That is more than any batsman playing currently in the world.”
