After captain Virat Kohli, he is the man who steals all attraction in the limited-over formats. But Rohit Sharma’s broad blade hasn’t seen a three-figure score since the ton in Adelaide against Australia in January. Rohit, who recently led India in a couple of ODIs and three T20Is in New Zealand, hasn’t yet scored a fifty in the ongoing series against Australia but a batsman of his calibre can turn the tables around in no time. Such is the explosive talent.
Rohit, who sat out for the Bengaluru T20I against Australia after scoring just five in the first in Visakhapatnam, played an innings slow by his standard in the first ODI in Hyderabad. However, the man looked in great touch ahead of the second game of the series to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Tuesday. India won the first match by 6 wickets after facing a batting debacle in the middle overs with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav putting up an unbeaten 141-run partnership to drive them home.
Rohit has a top batting record in Nagpur
Rohit has a good record in Nagpur with 204 runs in two games and is the third highest scorer on the ground after Mahendra Singh Dhoni (268) and Kohli (209). The man has been playing international cricket for some time and will lead Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League starting later this month. The team will hope that Rohit churns out some good knocks in the remaining four games before India start their World Cup campaign on June 5 against South Africa.

Rohit had a rare series loss as the captain when India went down 1-2 to the Black Caps in a T20I series on the latter’s territory. The man had a terrific captaincy record last year and won the Asia Cup without dropping a game and a T20I tri-series in Sri Lanka before that. Owner of three double hundreds in ODIs and boasting of the highest individual score of 264, Rohit is one of the most prolific hitters of the ball in modern-day cricket.
