Rohit Sharma reveals why he never made it to breakfast table in IPL history
Rohit Sharma was involved in live session with Ashwin on Monday.
Rohit Sharma always hit the headlines on the back of his submissive batting skills. The 33-year-old also leads Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Moreover, he is the only skipper to win four IPL titles. On Monday, Ravichandran Ashwin hosted Rohit for a live Instagram session in which he revealed that he never made it to the breakfast table in IPL history.
The Hitman has earned the reputation of a skillful batsman in world cricket. However, in the last seven years, he has also shown his leadership skills by leading MI in the cash-rich league. Moreover, his batting turns out to be an icing on the cake. There is no doubt over the fact that he is the biggest match-winner for Mumbai based team that can single-handedly win the games.
Rohit Sharma opens up about his bad habit
During the interaction, Ravichandran Ashwin kept all the positive aspects of Rohit Sharma aside and asked why he never makes it to the breakfast table during IPL. Indian opener accepted the fact and said that in IPL he never made it to the breakfast table.
He added that in the Indian Premier League, the matches finish very late and he is very particular about his sleep of 9 to 10 hrs. As per him, he always tries to sleep and wake up with his daughter Samaira, who is just one year old. Rohit also recited that after she is awake nobody in the house gets the liberty to sleep.
“It’s true that I’ve never made it to the breakfast table in IPL history, also because of other reasons as it gets very late after matches. I need my 9-10 hours of sleep, that is a must. Since Samaira was born, I used to sleep with her. I somehow managed to sleep with her and wake up with her. Because once she’s up your not going to get your sleep,” Rohit told Ashwin during the live Instagram session.
If the situation was normal, then Rohit Sharma would be seen playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. However, BCCI suspended the tournament indefinitely amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
