Rohit Sharma shares an adorable picture to reveal the name of his daughter

On December 30, 2018, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a baby girl. Thereafter, wishes flowed in for them from every nook and corner of the country. Even Mumbai Indians (MI) for whom Rohit plays for in the Indian Premier League (IPL), also congratulated them.  On December 13, 2015, they pledged troth and have set a number of couple goals for the aspiring lovebirds.

Recently, the Nagpur-born cricketer flew to Mumbai to attend his pregnant wife. Therefore, the experienced campaigner also missed India’s fourth and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). However, he would be back on Tuesday, Wednesday 8 and would be a part of the ODI series against Aaron Finch and Co, set to get underway on Saturday, January 12.

Recently, the couple has also named their daughter and it’s ‘Samaira’. Rohit uploaded an adorable picture with Ritika and their daughter. Moreover, she captioned the picture and wrote, “I spent last night On the last flight to you Took a whole day up Trying to get way up Baby Samaira https://youtu.be/aJOTlE1K90k  This video never fails to give me goosebumps @adamlevine,”

Rohit’s cricketing stint

Rohit recently played a couple of matches in the four-match Test series against the Aussies, captained by wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Paine. He looked good in the first innings of the opening match in Adelaide but gave his wicket away to a rash stroke. In the second innings of that match, he flattered to deceive.

Rohit missed the next match at the new Perth Stadium due to a back injury. However, he scored a gutsy half-century in the first innings of the third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) but failed to deliver in the second. He would now be keen to perform as per expectations in the 50-overs format for the Men in Blue.
