Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan and spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra are set to add the star power to the Duleep Trophy final which will be held on 10th September at the Greater Noida Stadium.
These Test stars featured in the Test series against West Indies. All these four players, however, will not be playing together in one team. Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja will offer their services to the strong India Blue side led by Gautam Gambhir whereas Shikhar Dhawan and Amit Mishra will play for the India Red under the leadership of Yuvraj Singh.
The tournament has been played with the pink ball for the first time in India. This will be a great chance for these stalwarts to test their skills with the pink ball which is known to behave slightly different that the Red and the white balls.
Also, it can serve as a good practice or them ahead of the New Zealand’s tour which is set to begin later this month. Apart from Amit Mishra, the trio of Dhawan, Rohit, and Jadeja have recently struggled in the whites and should eagerly look forward to playing the upcoming game.

Rohit Sharma had a forgettable time in the Test series where he could muster only 50 runs in two games (he batted in only two innings). Ravindra Jadeja could find a place in just one test during the tour where he made a good impact with the ball but was disappointing with the bat.
Jaddu took figures of 1/27 & 2/20 but could make only 6 & 16 in both the innings. Shikhar Dhawan, on the other hand, had forgettable time as he could not feature in any of the Tests.
