After missing out international cricket for over five months due to injury, Rohit Sharma was included in India’s squad for the Champions Trophy. After not performing very well in the Indian Premier League, Sharma bounced back to form as he had a good start to the tournament where he scored 91 runs in the first game against Pakistan, which India won by a margin of 124 runs at the Edgbaston Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Seems like the current India opener is inspired by the former India opener, not on the cricket pitch but off it. Rohit Sharma did a Virender Sehwag, not on Twitter but on Instagram, where he slightly trolled his wife Ritika Sajdeh. As per Rohit’s caption on his post, it seems that the couple had had a fight right before the picture was clicked, and Rohit’s better-half was forcing herself to smile for the camera when she didn’t want to. “That’s her I’m-pretending-not-to-be-cold smile ? #NeverADullMoment#ShadesOfMe? @ritssajdeh” read the caption. Apparently, Rohit and Ritika were best friends turned lovers who tied the knot in 2015.
Only a few hours earlier, Virender Sehwag had taken to Twitter to troll his wife Aarti. “Biwi ji has given me title of King. It’s like Chess. King can take only one step at a time and Queen can do whatever she wants to #HasiBand” Sehwag wrote. Seems like Sehwag, the undisputed king of Twitter, is inspiring other cricketers as well to follow suit. He now has over 10 million followers on Twitter and has been praised by several celebrities for his sense of humour.

Sri Lanka, India’s next assignment
On the cricketing font, Sharma will be eager to continue his good run and build a good partnership with Shikhar Dhawan when India next play Sri Lanka tomorrow at The Oval. With a win over the Islanders, India can secure a berth in the semi-final.
