India are currently brimming with confidence and have already sealed the fate of the ODI series against New Zealand, taking a 3-0 lead after wins in Napier and Mount Maunganui. The Indian bowlers have been superlative, to say the least, and the batsmen have also stepped up. All in all, they have been able to outclass their opponents completely in all the three departments.
The fourth ODI is now scheduled to be played tomorrow at the Seddon Park in Hamilton and India would be keen to get one step closer to a series whitewash. In the meantime, Indian leg-break bowler Yuzvendra Chahal came up with another episode of Chahal TV, the video of which was uploaded on Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) official website.
Gill and Kuldeep speak
The tweaker interviewed the likes of Shubman Gill, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav. Veteran Indian batsman Rohit Sharma played the role of the cameraman. During the chat, Gill, who got his maiden national call in New Zealand, sounded confident and excited after joining the national team.
“I am undergoing very good training. I am feeling very good [about having joined Team India]. I have received a warm welcome,” Gill was quoted as saying in Chahal TV.
Kuldeep went wicketless in the third ODI but picked up four-wicket hauls in the first two matches. He also is the current leading highest wicket-taker in the series with eight wickets. Kuldeep thanked the likes of Rohit, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni for motivating everyone.
“Seniors in the team – Rohit bhai, Virat bhai, and others are motivating the youngsters. Seeing them workout motivates us to do well. I don’t do extra stuff. I like to follow a good fitness regime. It has been helping me well. The program itself is good big, and I don’t do anything extra,” Yadav mentioned.
