Murali Vijay is currently celebrating his 34th birthday on Sunday as the cricketing fraternity is busy wishing him on his special day. Also known as ‘monk’ Vijay is one of the best openers in Test cricket going around for India right now and fared decently in South Africa recently. He is enjoying his birthday with his teammates at Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the commencement of the IPL. However, Rohit Sharma, his teammate, has wished him in a funny way on his birthday.

The culture of the current Indian team is the best as all the cricketers share a special camaraderie with each other. There is always a happy space in the dressing room and they even rejoice tough times together. It is like a family for them where everyone feels happy courtesy the leader Virat Kohli who likes to give all the players their personal space which in turn brings the best out of the players.

Rohit Sharma is with Mumbai Indians squad right now preparing for the opening encounter against Chennai Super Kings which will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He was aware of the birthday of his teammate and took a funny dig at him on the occasion of April Fools Day. “Fitting date for your birthday #AprilFoolsDay happy birthday Macha @mvj888,” he tweeted in his wish for Murali Vijay.

Interestingly, these two players will be pitted against each other in 6 days time as Vijay was picked by CSK earlier this year in the auction. There is a possibility that the right-hander might open the innings alongside Faf du Plessis. CSK is marking the return after serving the suspension of two years and will be led by MS Dhoni again. Even Vijay has played earlier for the franchise and would be excited to don the yellow jersey again.
